Carlyle Towers Looking For Candidates!

Have you picked up a packet yet? Candidate packets for the upcoming annual election for the Board of Directors are available now!

A condo association's board of directors is a government in miniature. The board members are elected by the condo owners to run the association and manage condominium property, which the board may do directly or by hiring a manager. Condo owners rely on the board to resolve community problems ranging from building damage to unruly residents.

Some things the Board makes decisions on are:
  • Rules & Covenants
  • Maintenance
  • Association finances

The City Of Alexandria Needs Election Officers

The City of Alexandria Office of Voter Registration and Elections is looking for election officers for the June 12 Democratic and Republican primary elections.

Responsibilities include:
  • Preparing the polling place for voting
  • Setting up the voting equipment  
  • Demonstrating voting procedures
  • Closing the polling place
All officers must be registered voters in Virginia and be available to come to a training class on Monday, June 4, at 7:30 p.m. or Saturday, June 9, at 10 a.m. They must also be able to work all day on Election Day, which begins at 4:45 a.m. on June 12.

Election officers are compensated $100 for their efforts. For more information, call 703-746-4050.
