While there are many historic concert halls in the D.C. area, no other venue in town has been the site of more acclaimed live albums by scheduled musicians than The Birchmere. Located just six miles from downtown Washington, in Alexandria, The Birchmere isn't your average concert hall; while its size makes it suitable for large audiences, the hall is also filled with quaint tables for the many diners that come to catch dinner and a show. The spacious hall has become an ideal place to catch popular musicians, and a favorite among the performers themselves.
