The City Of Alexandria Needs Election Officers

The City of Alexandria Office of Voter Registration and Elections is looking for election officers for the June 12 Democratic and Republican primary elections.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing the polling place for voting
• Setting up the voting equipment  
• Demonstrating voting procedures
• Closing the polling place

All officers must be registered voters in Virginia and be available to come to a training class on Monday, June 4, at 7:30 p.m. or Saturday, June 9, at 10 a.m. They must also be able to work all day on Election Day, which begins at 4:45 a.m. on June 12.
